Calce
Mineral tones, wood and peaceful light: the simple pleasure of coming back and finding our place.

The grey of the surfaces meets the warmth of the wood and the room finds a peaceful, almost mineral tone. The furniture has a tangible presence; distances allow the eye to move through the rooms unhurriedly. Calce keeps the appeal of simple things chosen with care, of forms that become familiar because they accompany us, day after day, without tiring us.
We picture it on a weekday evening. Shopping is set on the table, a window is opened, somewhere the sound of water can already be heard. After hours spent among different places and thoughts, we return to gestures we can perform almost with our eyes closed. There is a particular tenderness in this familiarity: feeling welcomed even when the day has left us little energy.
Later, light retreats from the surfaces and a lamp gives the walls a new colour. The book can wait, the dishes too. For a few minutes we allow ourselves to remain as we are, seated, with the house around us. A short pause, seemingly small, yet wide enough to remind us that rest also needs a place of its own.
