Paloma

Botanical decoration brings a small escape into the rooms, among pale wood and daylight.

The story

Botanical decoration brings a landscape into the rooms to be seen at close quarters. Pale wood makes it familiar, the furniture gives it a domestic scale. Paloma holds that particular feeling of certain places encountered on a journey: they put us at ease at once, as though some part of us had long been waiting for them, without yet having found a way to imagine them.

Here, a home could become a small collection of affinities. A colour chosen by instinct, a wall that recalls a distant morning, the outline of a leaf that still pleases us after years. We have thought of spaces able to welcome this personal bond with things, leaving the rooms the possibility of being intimate, recognisable, different for each of us.

On waking, before thoughts arrive, we might meet a beloved detail on the wall. Daylight would make it new for a few instants, then the day would begin to ask for our attention. But that small happiness would stay with us, like a kind message found by chance: the silent confirmation that we have chosen a place in which we recognise ourselves.
