Oltremare

Blue appears among wood and pale walls and, for an instant, carries our thoughts far away. A single shade is enough: the memory of a journey, a sky seen through a window, an afternoon of which we had forgotten almost everything. Around it, the furniture keeps the domestic world close, offering that small escape a tangible place in which to settle.

Oltremare is imagined for those who love movement and also know the pleasure of returning. A laid table, an open window, a sofa we are reluctant to leave hold a simple happiness, made of things that wait for us. We would like the rooms to welcome what we bring from outside, stories and objects, together with the need to remain silent for a little while.

Evening will deepen the blue and wood will take on the warm colour of the lamps. A detail will still be enough to send our imagination travelling, even without moving. Some homes become dear to us for precisely this reason: they let us remain curious about the world, while preparing each day a gentle place in which to find ourselves again, with everything we have become by passing through it.
