Falso Nueve

Beneath the vaults of Perugia, light changes the pace of the evening. A meeting place shaped by warm brick and colour.

The story

Some places give an evening its shape before anyone orders a drink. You step inside, recognise a face and look for a seat near the others. At Falso Nueve, on Via della Stella in Perugia, brick vaults gather these small movements and give conviviality an intimate scale. The material remains visible, with its uneven surfaces, while colour changes the way we perceive it.

Blue light follows the bar and rises across the curves of the ceiling. Elsewhere, green and red accents give the same brick a different depth. Niches become landmarks, and passages suggest another room to discover. Pendant lights descend towards the counter; the bottle display lights up the background, while colourful stools and chairs introduce an informal mood. Between a screen, a table and a painted detail, the space accommodates shared attention and conversations that find their own direction.

Its character lies in the closeness between an old structure and the gestures of an evening out. A match, laughter, a glass set down: ordinary moments fill the rooms without erasing their memory. Falso Nueve tells its story through these spaces and the people passing through them, in the brief interval when somewhere in the city becomes our meeting place.
